A new baby calf
Asleep on the ground.
It's mama sneaking up
Not making a sound.  

The mama  started running
Fast toward Dopie,
Will she catch him?
Dopie hopes "NOPIE."

The farm owner hollered,
"I'll bet 50 cents,
That you don't make it
To the barnyard fence."

The owner was right
Dopie sure didn't.
Is this fun?
Dopie said, "It idn't !"

The cow hooked Dopie
Between each horn.
And threw that buddy
Over the barn.

A goose flying over
Where Dopie sat,
Dropped a treat
On Dopie's hat.

It didn't get a grape
The goose was mad,
It honked to Dopie,
"Take that lad!"

Dopie shook his hat
The treat was stuck,
Poor Ol` Dopie
More bad luck.

It's coming back
Dopie grabbed a stick,
The goose change directions
Mighty quick!
