Karol
and Nancy
We
heard Karol
Scream and holler
Nancy dropped ice Down her collar.
Karol chased her
With
a rake, But Nancy jumped
Into
the lake.
So
did Karol To finish the chase,
Then
rubbed some mud
in Nancy's face.
They
giggled and laughed 'Cause they were friends. And in the lake This poem ends. |
To
Fit What You've Got
My shirts are to big,
My
pants are too long. I
haven't one thing
That
doesn't fit wrong.
My shoes are too wide,
My
feet slip out. I trip on my pants,
Moving
about.
My dad says, "Don`t worry,
Just
eat a whole lot, And soon you'll grow up
To
fit what youve got."

Water's
Dripping
Water's
dripping in our tub,
The
handle won't twist tight.
Daddy
tried to fix it.
But
he didn't do it right.
So
Mama took that handle off,
But
whatever she did in there
Isn't
working any better -
There's
water everywhere.
My
sister, who is six and short,
Double-stacked
two stools,
Then
climbed up to the faucet
With
half of Daddy's tools.
She
pounded with a hammer -
We
heard a joyful scream -
She
stopped that dripping water,
Now
all we have is steam.

I
Just Might Be In Love
I
think I just might be in love,
I don't know how to know.
I
want to keep it secret, But I'm afraid it's going to show.
I'm
nervous and my stomach aches,
My
hands are sweaty, too,
Someone
said, "You're not in love,
You're
coming down with the FLU!"
|
Two Coins, Too
I have a dime, You have two nickels
- One more coin than me. You say we have
The same amount, But that just cannot be.
|
I
ate an apple Around two worms Eating on the core. When I finished, I
didn't see
Either of those worms anymore.
|
|
I'm not dumb.
I know that two
Is always more than one.
I think that you
Are teasing me
To have yourself some fun
|
|
I'll
get myself
Another dime,
Then I'll have two coins, too.
So we'll be even,
And I'll know
I have as much as you.
